Hi-Hat Stands Compatibility

Unfortunately there is no standardization in the hi-hat clutches. Bolt diameter and thread pitch can change based on brands and models.

During ordering, you will have to specify what model you will need. These different models are designed to fit different types of hi-hat clutches.

The Nitro Hat currently comes in two versions: M10x1.5mm and M12x1.25mm, these two seem to cover a vast majority of hi-hat stands.

This page will guide you on mesuring and chosing the right type for your hi-hat stand.

I don’t have a stand yet

Just chose one of the fully tested hi-hat stands from the table below, select the appropriate model type based on the Clutch Bolt and enjoy.

Recommendation: the force required to press the hi-hat pedal changes from type to type, since the Alesis hi-hat is quite light, chose one that requires low force or an adjustable one.

How to Measure your Hi-Hat Clutch

Bolt Diameter: Measure the diameter of the bolt, this is Usually ~9.5mm for M10 bolts and ~11.5 for M12 Bolts

Thread Pitch: Count 10 thread loops on the bolt, measure the distance. This can be 12,5mm, 15mmm.

Divide the number by 10, this is your thread pitch.
